    Montana State Next in Line

    There won’t be much time to waste this weekend for what appears to be the best Bearkat football team ever.

    The NCAA Division I Football Championship quarterfinal matchup against the Montana State Bobcats (10-2) is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Bowers Stadium.

    Flanders’ Late Drive Gives ‘Kats Big Win

    Tim Flanders completed a 10-play 83-yard drive with a seven-yard touchdown for the winning score as Sam Houston defeated Stony Brook 34-27 in an NCAA Division I Football second round game Saturday afternoon.

    Flanders rushed 21 times for 102 yards. The final drive took 5:32 off the clock. Stony Brook threw four incomplete passes to end the game…

    Men’s Basketball Getting Into Rhythm (66 – 54)

    In a game where Sam Houston’s leading scorers Konner Tucker and Marcus James went head-to-head with former teammate Nafis Richardson, it was the Bearkats who pulled away for a 66-54 victory over Paul Quinn.

    This was the second win a row for Sam Houston after dropping five straight games…
