Stephens mentioned the ramp work underway on I-45 between Weisner and the DPS office is going well. He said they are also working on safety lighting on ramps at the new locations. An interchange is under construction at Highway 30 and 1791. He said rain has slowed that project down. There will be an intersection modification at FM 1791, 75, and I-45.

Stephens also said coming up is a sidewalk project with the City. He said the City has gotten some federal funds. It’s scheduled for March of 2013. TxDOT also has some overlay planned for the main lanes of the Interstate from 75 to Highway 19 and then further north in the future. Some sealcoat work on a variety of roads around town is also planned.
