City Council Moves Forward on City Manager Search

The Huntsville City Council met in regular session last night at City Hall. An important item on the evening’s agenda that they focused on was their search for a new City Manager.

The search committee chairman, Councilmember Keith Olson, said they “as a body, decided we would take 5 different firms from a long list we culled out . . . .”

The Council decided to have the search firms come in on the 19th of June for a workshop beginning at 5 PM, with each being allowed a 15-minute presentation, followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer session. The Council’s regular meeting will follow at 8 PM.

Councilmember James Fitch commented further on how the chosen search firm will be utilized . . . .
