Commissioners Approve Amendment to Marsh Darcy Consultant Contract

At Monday’s special session of Walker County Commissioners, Commissioners discussed amending a contract with the Marsh Darcy consulting firm in an amount not over $2,500 dollars for professional services in regard to a tax abatement policy.

County auditor Patricia Allen commented on the issue . . . .

Precinct #4 Commissioner Tim Paulsel agreed that the County needed a well-defined abatement policy . . .

Paulsel thought there would be a presentation on the policies on July 30th. He said the policy or abatement would not be accepted at that time. It would be up for review before the Commissioners’ Court, on the website for public review, and open to input from others.
