Commissioners’ Court Meets Today

Walker County Commissioners will meet for a regular session this morning at nine at the Courthouse.

Walker County Emergency Management Coordinator Butch Davis will discuss approving an air card for the mobile command post and an agreement between the Department of State Health Services and the Walker County Storm Shelter.

County Auditor Patricia Allen will talk about amending a payroll classification to add an Assistant DA position to be funded from budgeted funds, the status of the tree removal project, and financial information as of July 3rd.

There will be a presentation to the Walker County Historical Commission of the Distinguished Service Award. Precinct #4 Commissioner Tim Paulsel will discuss a donation by Walker County Proud Communities for $1,500 dollars toward the Courthouse Beautification Project.

The Court will also discuss the Walker County Healthy Initiatives Agreement, approval of a contribution to the Trinity Improvement Association, and installation of Suddenlink cable modem service at the Courthouse.

County Judge Danny Pierce will consider a “Burn Ban” order.

And, budget presentations for fiscal year 2012-13 begin at 1 PM.
