Walker County Commissioners will meet for a regular session this morning at nine.
Among items on the “Consent Agenda,” is bid approval for tree cutting and disposal, approval of bids for fuel for various Road & Bridge precincts, and the approval of the purchase of a 2013 Tahoe for Constable Precinct #3 from Caldwell Chevrolet, and five 2013 Tahoes for the Sheriff’s Department, and five for the Jail.
The “Statutory Agenda” has several items, including a 4-H presentation. County District Attorney David Weeks will discuss approval of the expenditure of funds for prosecution related to the upcoming TDCJ trial with amounts paid to be requested for reimbursement from the State, with any unreimbursed funds not covered within the Criminal District Attorney budget to be funded from contingency.
Emergency Management will hold a public hearing on the Hazard Mitigation Plan.
County Judge Danny Pierce will discuss Economic Development Policy, Tax Abatement Policy, and take a look a look at the Burn Ban.
