The Huntsville City Council recently approved the Strategic Plan, which will serve as a guide for the City staff to develop the budget for the coming fiscal year.
The “Strategic Plan,” which was adopted through a resolution during the July 3rd Council meeting, addresses five broad areas of strategic initiatives aimed to address all quality of life issues in Huntsville.
This strategic planning document is meant to serve as a guide for the City staff to develop the annual budget for Council consideration and to provide the Council with a concise method of informing the staff the policy direction for the City–both as a community and an organization.
Mayor Mac Woodward said, “This is a document that can be revisited or revised any time we’d like to, and we plan to do so at least every year.”
The “Strategic Plan” is available on the City’s Web site at http://www.huntsvilletx.gov/egov/docs/1341943397_412139.pdf.
