Published on September 21, 2012 by Larry Crippen

The Huntsville City Council approved the expansion of curbside recycling to begin in Area #6 on Friday, January 4, 2013. Area #6 includes customers within the area of Angier, Boettcher, Elks Drive, and Lake Road.

For map details and street listings, visit under City News/Curbside Recycling.

Blue recycling carts will be issued to customers within area #6 in December. Remember the blue recycling cart is for unbagged recyclables only and will not be serviced until Friday, January 4, 2013. Once the program begins, garbage pickup will be on Tuesdays only with the green cart and recycling pickup will be on Fridays only with the blue cart.

Recycling Guidelines meetings are being held at the Walker Education Center at 1400 19th Street on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 6 PM and Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 6 PM. There will be a speaker presenting information on how to recycle curbside.
