ACM Lifting Lives has announced Carrie Underwood’s Checotah Animal, Town and School Foundation (C.A.T.S. Foundation) as the July theme for its monthly ‘My Cause’ web feature. The monthly web feature brings awareness to artist-supported charitable organizations. It also supports fundraising efforts for those organizations. To watch the web feature, visit www.ACMLiftingLives.org.

This month’s ‘My Cause: C.A.T.S. Foundation’ feature highlights the organization Carrie established in 2009. The foundation helps with causes around her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma. Fans can submit donations through the donate link available with the video.

At this year’s ACM Awards, ACM Lifting Lives encouraged artists to speak on camera about the causes they support. My Causes allows ACM Lifting Lives to demonstrate the Academy’s support of country artists. Over the past two years, ACM Lifting Lives has donated more than $45,000 to artists’ favorite charities and will again make donations.

ACM Lifting Lives is the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through music. Each year, the organization provides grants to music therapy and music education programs. It also supports members of the country music community facing unexpected medical or financial hardship.
