GAC’s Nan Kelley (l) visits with Deirdre and Don Imus at The Imus Ranch in Ribera, NM, a 4,000 acre working cattle ranch owned by radio star Don Imus and his wife Deirdre that provides the experience of the great American cowboy to children facing cancer or serious blood disorders.

This week, GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown spent time at The Imus Ranch in Ribera, New Mexico – and host Nan Kelley had to get her hands dirty! Owned by radio star Don Imus and his wife Deirdre, the 4,000 acre working cattle ranch provides the experience of the great American cowboy to children facing cancer or serious blood disorders.

Don and Deirdre woke Nan up bright and early to help the young ranch hands with ranch chores, including the feeding and saddling of horses. Nan was also able to snag an interview with eight-time world champion cowboy Joe Beaver as well as the Imus’ 14-year-old son, Wyatt Imus.
