Chris Knight will release his new album, Little Victories, on September 11. Produced by GRAMMY winner Ray Kennedy, the album is his first new material in more than four years. He wrote or co-wrote each of the songs on the album.
Throughout the project, Chris tells the tale of the current socio-economic climate of his hometown of Slaughters, Kentucky where he lives with his family. His lyrics mirror the current economic climate across the country and relate to the lives of hard-working people everywhere.
According to Entertainment Weekly “Knight plows the same gritty ground as Steve Earle and Townes Van Zandt. The New York Times says “Knight seems the last of a dying breed – a hard-nosed iconoclast, a taciturn loner who hunts his own land, a grownup Huck Finn with an acoustic guitar as well as a college degree.”
The album also features vocals by Buddy Miller and John Prine. Buddy can be heard on two tracks, “In The Mean Time” and “Missing You.” John lends his voice to the album’s title track. Little Victories will be available at all major retailers digital outlets as well as local and independent record outlets on September 11.
