Edens Edge has a rare day off this 4th of July and there’s a pretty good chance you’ll find them manning a grill somewhere. The trio admits they all love to grill out and shared some of their favorite tips and tricks, just in time for Independence Day cookouts.
“I’ve mastered the art of grilling steaks and fish,” Cherrill Green said. “For my steaks I have this really good recipe of soy sauce and garlic and crushed pepper.”
Hannah Blaylock loves to grill vegetables, especially garlic and onions. She gets a little adventurous when she’s got the grill tongs in hand though.
“One thing that I’ve been doing lately that is so good is getting a whole thing of garlic and wrapping it in tin foil and kind of cutting the top off and pouring olive oil in there and grilling it, or doing that with an onion as well is amazing,” she said. “Then you just eat the whole clove or you can peel off and eat the onion and it’s just incredible. Or you can put butter in it as well and it’s like heaven.”
Dean Berner is also a fan of using garlic when grilling. But instead of eating it whole like Hannah, he prefers to put it on his steaks. “Use a garlic press or whatever, and you just mash up some garlic and then spread that on the steak, on the top and bottom of the steak along with some pepper and other spices if you want to,” he said. “The fire kind of burns it off but the flavor is amazing.”
Edens Edge is just released their self-titled debut album. The group is currently on tour with Rascal Flatts.
