Jason Aldean Hits No. 1 Song Slot With "Take a Little Ride"

Published on September 29, 2012 by CMT News

Jason Aldean
Little Big Town’s Tornado holds the heights of Billboard‘s
country albums chart for the second week. But there’s a new No. 1 song — Jason
Aldean
‘s “Take a Little Ride,” which reached this eminence
after just a 10-week climb.

There are lots of new albums to spotlight, three of them making their debut within the
Top 5. Chief among them is Easton Corbin’s All Over the Road,
which enters at No. 2 and is immediately followed by Big Rich’s Hillbilly
Jedi
and Dwight Yoakam’s Three Pears, in that order.

Ryan Bingham’s Tomorrowland bows in at No. 7, and Bart
Crow
‘s Dandelion lands at No. 48.

Albums returning to the charts are Lauren
Alaina
‘s Wildflower (No. 63) and Don Williams’ And So It
Goes
(No. 73).

The new songs are Brad Paisley’s “Southern Comfort
Zone” (No. 25), Faith Hill’s “American Heart” (No. 57) and JT
Hodges
“Sleepy Little Town” (No. 60).

Luke Bryan’s Tailgates
Tanlines
still flexes its muscles as the week’s No. 5 album.

The No. 2 through No. 5 songs are Hunter
Hayes
‘ “Wanted” (last week’s No. 1), Dustin
Lynch
‘s “Cowboys and Angels,” Jana
Kramer
‘s “Why Ya Wanna” and Carrie
Underwood
‘s “Blown Away.”

By the way, Underwood’s
show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena last week, was spectacular — in the most expansive sense of that much overused word.
The stage graphics couldn’t be topped.
