Jerrod Niemann and Blake
Shelton are among the country artists releasing new albums on Tuesday (Oct. 2).
Niemann’s Free the Music
features his current single, “Shinin’ on Me.” He spent two
years recording the album with his touring band and co-producer Dave Brainard. The album features a duet with Colbie
Caillat called “I’m All About You.” Niemann’s past hits include “Lover,
Lover” and “What Do You Want.”
Shelton’s Cheers,
It’s Christmas is the singer’s first holiday collection. Guests include Reba
McEntire, Michael Bublé and Shelton’s mother Dorothy Shackleford. He chose some of his favorite classic Christmas
songs for the album. Many of the tracks were recorded at the famous Capitol Studios in Los Angeles with full orchestral accompaniment.
Meanwhile,
John Denver, Willie Nelson
and Elvis Presley are represented on Legacy Recordings’ The Classic
Christmas Album reissue series.
