Miranda Lambert’s latest single, “Fastest Girl In Town,” is racing up the charts. When it came time to shoot the music video a few weeks ago, it was only appropriate for Miranda to call up one of the ‘fastest’ women around to be her partner in crime – NASCAR driver Danica Patrick.
“Danica was the person I thought of immediately when I envisioned the video,” Miranda said. “We had so much fun playing two bad ass chicks up to no good. Danica has a really busy schedule, and I’m thrilled she was able to take time to come to Tennessee and be a part of this.”
Actor W. Earl Brown, co-star of HBO’s Deadwood and upcoming film The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp, also co-stars in the video. With more than 90 film credits to his name, he’s well-known for his role as the brother of Camera Diaz in the film There’s Something About Mary. “Earl is a true character, and he brings so much charisma and authenticity to his scenes,” Miranda said.
Directed by Trey Fanjoy, the “Fastest Girl In Town” video is a complete narrative. It’s the first video Miranda has filmed without a vocal performance. “I really get to act in the video,” she said. “We have live sound and action scenes which feel more like a mini-movie than a music video.”
The “Fastest Girl In Town” video will premiere soon.
