Mike Fisher is a very rich man. But more importantly for his wife Carrie
Underwood, he’s still very much a Nashville man. At least for a couple more years.
The Nashville Predators announced Monday (Aug. 20) they’ve signed the Canadian hockey player to a two-year, $8.4 million
contract. (He will make $4.2 million each season, if you can wrap your head around that.) They cited a bunch of facts and
figures as reasons for the extension of Fisher’s contract. He is ranked 11th in the NHL in game-winning goals, he’s a solid
defensive player, he won the 2012 NHL Foundation Award and he went to the 2007 Stanley Cup Finals. And that’s all great. But
for Underwood, the best news is that he won’t have to move away from their life in Tennessee. Underwood and Fisher have been
married since 2010 and he has been with the Preds since 2011.
