OFFSTAGE: Coloring Carrie Underwood’s World

Published on November 16, 2012 by CMT News

Carrie Underwood
(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and
out of the spotlight.)

Picture this: a 12-year-old Carrie
Underwood
in purple mascara. It happened, I swear. She admitted it to InStyle
magazine and said that as she was learning to dabble with makeup in her ‘tween years, she tried green and blue mascara, too.
(Now, though, she wears pure black on her own lashes or the $14 false Nashville Lash ones from Smoke
and Mirrors Beauty
.) Another hue Underwood likes these days is Bubble Bath nail polish from OPI because it “looks nice
with everything.” And the color she likes best on her teeth? White, obviously. So she uses Brite Smile Whitening Toothpaste
because her teeth are too sensitive to use whitening strips or have them professionally done. The one color Underwood said
that she does not love so much is her hair. “I’m naturally a mousy blonde, so I get highlights to make it pop,” she said.
