The Thanksgiving tradition of holding hands and giving thanks will probably feel a little
different for Dierks Bentley this year. He lost his dad this summer,
and holding his hand while he passed away actually was the blessing. “In an odd way, I’m most thankful for being able to be
with my dad, holding his hand as he passed away this year,” he told People Country. His father Leon died on June 1,
2012. He was 88. And the day after, Bentley posted the very moving
black-and-white photo of his hand wrapped up in his father’s hand. Two generations of Bentley men intertwined forever.
