OFFSTAGE: Dreaming of a Lady Antebellum Christmas

Lady Antebellum
(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and
out of the spotlight.)

When I started listening to Lady Antebellum’s
On This Winter’s Night album, I wanted to have a snowball fight. Like, right away. Mostly because the album is full
of all those holiday classics you know and love — and the country trio does a fabulous job on them all — but also because
the photos in the CD booklet capture the quintessential white Christmas. Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott are
in the mountains near Salt Lake City, dressed for snowball fights, sledding and maybe a few snow angels. And while they may
not have been raised on white Christmases, their love of the holiday feels very genuine. “The three of us have different memories
of Christmas, so we felt inspired to record a variety of songs that represented them all,” they wrote in the liner notes.
“However you celebrate the season, whether with a fond memory of a loved one, a longing for someone far away or in the company
of family and friends, we hope it finds you with peace and love.” And snow.
