OFFSTAGE: Faith Hill’s "Heart" Bleeds and Scars

Faith Hill
(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and
out of the spotlight.)

Faith Hill knows about adversity, but
she also knows that while America does bleed and does scar, it also shines when times get hard. That’s from the chorus of
“American Heart,” her new single. “We’ve been through a lot as a country throughout the years, and we’ve faced tremendous
adversity. People are suffering, trying to make ends meet, and times are especially tough right now. The sentiment captures
everything I think we all feel when we think about the American spirit,” she
told People magazine
. “Musically, it’s a straightforward, no nonsense reminder [of the country’s spirit].” If you
want to hear the entire song, mark your calendars for Sunday (Sept. 30) at 7 p.m. ET, and then you can hear it via Hill’s
Twitter. And if you use the hashtag #askfaith, you can ask her about the song right after its premiere.
