OFFSTAGE: GQ Says the Men of Country Do It Best

There’s only one thing that can make a high-end designer suit look even better: a country
singer. We know that and, now, so
do the men’s style experts at GQ magazine
. After last week’s CMA Awards,
they had the sense to point out that the men of country music are the best-dressed musicians out there. And, more specifically,
that Dierks Bentley, Tim
and Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood are
the best-dressed musicians who were looking good enough to make GQ‘s elite photo gallery. The look that pretty much
clinched it for all four men was the very fitted, skinny-trousered black suit with a crisp white shirt. Kelley wore his with
a petite bow tie, but Bentley, McGraw and Haywood all stuck with slim, dark neckties. So simple and classic. The magazine
says this group of guys “nails about every point we drive home here at GQ when it comes to things like fit, proportion
and keeping things minimal without being boring.” So, to recap: Buy nice things, have them tailored and leave the accessories
at home.
