Rascal Flatts and Little Big Town are household names these days but before they were famous, they were one and the same. At least for a little while. Gary LeVox revealed that both he and Joe Don Rooney were members of Little Big Town briefly as they worked to get their careers off the ground.

“I was kind of with Little Big Town for a while when they were trying to put the group together,” Gary said. “And I went off and was doing my own thing and then they attacked Joe Don for the position.”

Jay DeMarcus may not have technically been a member of Little Big Town, but he has connections to the quartet’s pre-stardom days as well. He sang in a college group with Little Big Town’s Jimi Westbrook. Things have come full circle now with Little Big Town as a special guest on Rascal Flatts’ Changed Tour all summer long. “If you love good harmony and that kind of stuff it‘s going to be an amazing show,” Gary said.

Rascal Flatts just released their latest single, “Come Wake Me Up,” to radio.
