Ronnie Dunn has remixed his single “Let The Cowboy Rock” just for the Professional Bull Riders (PBR). Ronnie will premiere the new music video for the remix during night two of the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series Jack Daniel’s Invitational in Nashville on September 8.

The reworked lyrics came about while Ronnie was watching a PBR event on television.“Bull riding is arguably the most intense and electric event in rodeo,” he said. “The folks at PBR came along and turned up the volume in a way. That’s what I wanted to do with ‘Let The Cowboy Rock.’ It just felt like a perfect match.”

Modifications to the lyrics include rodeo specific terms and slang. Ronnie also took the liberty of “making a few terms up.” He called on friend and co-producer Jeff Balding to help make the song sound more aggressive. In just a few days, the pair wrote, recorded an mixed the song. After playing it for PBR executives, it was adopted as the official song of the PBR.

“The Professional Bull Riders are flattered that Ronnie Dunn has chosen to incorporate our sport in his new version of ‘Let The Cowboy Rock,’” Professional Bull Riders Chairman and CEO Jim Haworth said. “We’re thrilled that he is going to join us at our event in Nashville and allow our passionate fans to be the first to experience the world premiere of his new video, featuring PBR highlights.”

The new video, directed by Thien Phan, includes footage directly from the PBR events. While the remix mirrors the intensity of the sport, the video brings to life what a “serious rush” Ronnie imagines bull riding to be. The video will be played at PBR events throughout 2012. “Let The Cowboy Rock (PBR Remix)” will be available for download soon.

The Jack Daniel’s Invitational will bring the Top 35 bull riders in the world to compete for $130,000 in total purse money. Tickets are available at the Bridgestone Arena box office, www.Ticketmaster.com and by telephone at (800) 745-3000.
