Thomas Rhett’s debut single, “Something to Do With My Hands,” is all about keeping his hands busy. It’s only appropriate that he has partnered with Hands on Nashville, Middle Tennessee’s volunteer resource center, to encourage volunteers to find something to do with their own hands. The goal of the partnership is to promote the hundreds of opportunities available each month at HON.org.
“It is especially humbling to be able to give back in my own community,” Thomas said. “Whether I can do that by sorting food at my local food bank or helping to make someone’s home more energy efficient, then I’m all for it.”
Thomas Rhett will kick off his CMA Music Festival activities on June 7 by joining HON and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to host a Volunteer Day to sort food and pack bags for those in need. Afterward, he will perform an acoustic concert.
Everyone is invited to put their hands to work during the Volunteer Day, which begins at 9:45 a.m. The event is in conjunction with Outnumber Hunger, a partnership between Big Machine Label Group, General Mills and Feeding America. Register for Volunteer Day HERE.
