Randy Travis was taking a nap on a Texas road after crashing his car while
allegedly intoxicated late Tuesday night (Aug. 7), according to a report by ABC News. The singer was discovered near his home
in Tioga, Texas, after a 911 caller reported seeing “a guy laying on the road.”
A police spokesman said Travis was
brought to the station naked, but it was unclear if he undressed on the way or if he was discovered without his clothes.
Along
with an arrest for alleged drunk driving, an additional charge of retaliation and obstruction was issued after he threatened
to shoot and kill two of the police officers.
As previously reported, Travis crashed his 1998 Pontiac Trans Am into
barricades in a construction zone, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety said. A blood sample was taken after
Travis refused a sobriety test.
