Carrie Underwood isn’t in Oklahoma anymore. Her dramatic new video, “Blown Away,” channels The Wizard of Oz, starring Carrie as a modern day Dorothy, complete with red shoes and a blue and white checkered shirt. The daughter of an alcoholic, she bravely takes cover as a twister rips away the life she once knew.
As the video ends and the storm clouds disappear, Carrie emerges from the cellar into a bright new world where she’s free of her father’s abuse. Directed by Randee St. Nicholas, the video was filmed in a rural area outside of Nashville, Tenn.
