Zac Brown Band is known for their fast-paced instrumentals, rabid fan base and of course, their now famous Eat-and-Greets before shows. Zac Brown recently talked to K-FROG about how their devotion to their craft sets them apart.
”There’s a lot of people that spend more time getting ready than they do actually writing music or playing their instruments,” Zac said. “I don’t know how it got that way, but I’m kind of glad it did. We wouldn’t stand out if everyone did it the way we do. I love that. We give our lives to the music.”
As the band’s front man, Zac reels in the audience with his blistering guitar playing. While fans may call him one of the best guitar players they’ve heard, Zac is quick to dismiss his guitar slinging skills.
“I’m just a student to the guitar,” he said. “I’m just trying to figure that thing out. Getting to hang with Brad Paisley at the ACMs, getting to sit around and jam and pick together and stuff, there’s just so much inspiration around to do it. It’s a mountain that you never reach the top of. I’m always going to be a work in progress. I’m glad I’ve got some other instrument slingers with me and that we can put on a show.”
Zac Brown Band will release their new album, Uncaged, on July 10.
