The HISD Board of Trustees will hold their regular meeting at six this evening at the Hawkins Administration Building.
Tonight’s “Consent Agenda” includes a budget amendment–bid acceptance for music supplies and instruments, counseling supplies and equipment, and career tech supplies–and approval of legal and local board policies for wellness and health services care plans.
Tonight’s agenda also includes the possible approval of the Student Code of Conduct for the school year 2012-13, the Responsible Use Policy for 2012-13, a custodial services contract for four years beginning in 2012, a grounds maintenance contract for three years beginning this year, and an athletic fields maintenance contract for two years beginning this year.
The Board will hear annual report evaluations on state compensatory education, dyslexia, and the special education program. There will also be 2012-13 campus plans executive summaries for Huntsville High School, Huntsville Intermediate, Scott Johnson Elementary, and Gibbs Pre-K Center.
In closed executive session, they will consider filling the unexpired term for position #5 on the Board of Trustees by either appointment for two years, or a special election in conjunction with the general election in November.
