HISD Superintendent Dr. Johnson on Start of School

Published on September 26, 2012 by Larry Crippen

At Monday’s session of the HISD Board of Trustees, Superintendent Dr. Steve Johnson updated everyone on the start of school. He said they were up in enrollment. The enrollment figures for Monday showed 6,324 students. He said that’s an increase of around 60 students from a year ago–the high school has about 50 of those.

Besides the kickoff of the “Megalunch” program, Dr. Johnson commented on other things underway like Bring Your Own Technology . . . .

Dr. Johnson said they’ve implemented the “C-Scope” curriculum. He said they’ve implemented a new website and new e-mail, and he was positive about last Friday’s game.
