According to a story on KHOU-TV, Montgomery County investigators suspect there was foul play involved in the disappearance of 23-year-old former SHSU student T-J Murray who disappeared near a sports bar in October of last year.
The story relates how Murray was involved in a fight with several patrons at the Montgomery County Bar in the 300 block of Sawdust Road. Bar personnel asked Murray to leave and had him escorted from the property. He was last seen on video outside of the bar at approximately 12:30 AM. Later, Murray’s cell phone was found in a nearby ditch. He has not been seen or heard from since that time.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Lt. Dan Norris has not confirmed to the media that foul play was involved in T-J Murray’s disappearance, but Thursday afternoon he said it has not been ruled out.
A friend of Murray’s, Heather McDonald, who helped organize searches, said there are no new case developments. Murray family members have said that T-J Murray worked in Little League as an umpire and was well-liked.
Anyone with information on Murray’s disappearance can call Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 800-392-S-T-O-P.
