New Councilmembers Sworn-in

Four at-large City Councilmembers–Don Johnson, James Fitch, Lydia Montgomery, and Keith Olson–were sworn in last night at City hall by Walker County Judge Danny Pierce . . . .

At last night’s meeting, Mayor Mac Woodward expressed his appreciation for the recount effort regarding the Keith Olson and Kendall Scudder councilmember race . . . .

County Judge Danny Pierce also acknowledged the great effort of City Election Officer Diana McRae and her staff in the recount.

Councilmember Don Johnson was also elected by councilmembers as Mayor Pro Tem.
