Richard Linklater’s “Bernie” Movie Tonight

Richard Linklater, an Oscar nominated director returns to Huntsville today to showcase his most recent film “Bernie.” The screening will be at the J. Philip Gibbs, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, Old Towne Theatre, 1023 Twelfth Street, at 7:45 p.m. Linklater will introduce the film and have a question and answer session at its conclusion.

Proceeds benefit the Walker County Historical Commission, Huntsville Community Theatre, and Main Street. Tickets for the movie and  for a pre-screening reception from 5:30-7 P.M. with the director on the grounds of the Gibbs-Powell House Museum are available for $40. Tickets for the movie alone can be purchased for $25 for adults and $15 for students with identification. You can buy tickets at the Main Street office at 1203 University Avenue, or from Huntsville Community Theatre and Walker County Historical Commission Board members.
