Published on November 19, 2012 by Larry Crippen

Two men, 20-year-old Anthony Callahan Jr. and 19-year-old Raison Harris, were arrested for the aggravated robbery of the Dollar General Store in Riverside Thursday evening. The men made off with $290 dollars from the cash register drawer. A stolen handgun was used in the robbery. None of the store’s customers were harmed.

The two men fled the scene of the robbery. Walker County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Stokes, along with Sheriff’s officers, were assisted in the search and arrest of the suspects by University Police, DPS, HPD and their K-9.

Callahan and Harris were taken into custody and, along with aggravated robbery, were charged with evading arrest.
