Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney spoke to about 350 supporters at the St. Regis Hotel in Houston Wednesday evening.
Romney was introduced by former Ronald Reagan Chief of Staff and Secretary of State to George H.W. Bush, James Baker. Baker said Romney had raised $15 million dollars during a two-day campaign swing through Texas where he visited four cities. He said $5.5 million dollars of the funds raised had come from Houston.
Speaking for twenty minutes, Romney promised, if elected, to “get the nation on track for a balanced budget.”
