SAAFE House Receiving Donations for Holidays

Published on November 21, 2012 by Larry Crippen

Members of the Sam Houston Construction Association surprised SAAFE House with a huge donation of non-perishable food. The Association delivered a total of 5,300 cans of food Tuesday, just in time for Thanksgiving. It took several trucks to make the delivery. Earlier in the week, First Presbyterian Church of Huntsville delivered all the ingredients for several turkey dinners for client families of SAAFE House.

Marketing and Development Director Dee Everett said, “The holidays for our clients have started off with great blessings. Several groups have also already confirmed plans to help make some of the client’s Christmas wishes come true.” She says she’s “really touched by all the calls and commitments so far.”

Anyone interested in taking part in Christmas for SAAFE House clients can call Dee Everett at 291-3529, or email her at
