Sam Houston Museum Special Wednesday Events

Published on July 11, 2012 by Larry Crippen

The Sam Houston Memorial Museum is scheduling three events on Wednesdays–the 11th, 18th, and 25th, of this month–to introduce visitors to techniques used by General Sam Houston.

We talked with Curator of Education Mike SproatĀ  . . . .

Demonstrations on the grounds of the museum are conducted between 10 AM and 2 PM. Most of the demonstrations will be conducted at Bear Bend Cabin. The flower-pounding demonstration for youth and the one for adults requires a five-dollar donation to cover materials. Adults are encouraged to accompany kids under ten for the demonstration.
