Today, weather permitting, the Texas Department of Transportation’s contractor will temporarily close the outside main lane of northbound I-45 from the northbound entrance ramp at State Highway 30 to Exit 118. This will reduce the northbound traffic of I-45 to one lane.
This closure is temporary, and thru-traffic will be maintained on the inside lane. The closure will allow TxDOT’s contractor to construct a new entrance ramp and a new exit ramp adjacent to the northbound main lanes of I-45. The outside main lane of northbound I-45 will reopen before Labor Day.
