Walker County Sheriff’s Office Makes Big Drug Bust

Walker County Sheriff’s Office narcotics interdiction officer Jon Beeman with the aid of K-9 narcotics detection dog, Akie, seized almost 250 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop bust on November 21st.

Forty-year-old Ainslie Leslie of Houston was initially pulled over for failure to yield right-of-way. Seized along with the marijuana from Leslie’s 2009 Nissan Altima, was $12,300 dollars in cash.

Leslie was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, and money laundering. Bond for possession has been set at $100,000 dollars and was set at $25,000 for the money laundering. He was released on bond November 22nd.
