The recent actions of Edward Snowden, the former information technology specialist for federal contractor Booz Allen Hamilton who leaked information about the National Security Agency’s surveillance of American’s phone calls, was discussed Thursday in a House Judiciary Committee Oversight Hearing by outgoing FBI Director Robert Mueller . . . .
During questioning by Oversight panelists, Director Mueller supported the collection of data by the government saying that kind of investigation could have prevented the 9/11 attacks. He was also questioned about the Benghazi attack, the Boston bombings, and the targeting of conservative groups by the IRS.
Mueller was grilled by Ohio Representative Jim Jordan on the FBI’s IRS investigation . . . .
