Amendment to Solicitors and Hawkers Ordinance Discussed by Council

During this week’s regular session of the Huntsville City Council, councilmembers considered for a “first reading” an amendment to an ordinance regarding door-to-door solicitors and hawkers.

Police Chief Kevin Lunsford explained the changes for door-to-door issues . . . .

He said it also specifies times when soliciting is prohibited.

Chief Lunsford said the amendment also addressed another issue . . . .

The amendment should be coming up again in a future council meeting for approval consideration.
