Charge Against Prehoda Dismissed

Published on December 17, 2013 by Larry Crippen

Monday, a misdemeanor charge of interfering with public duties against Precinct #2 Constable Reed Prehoda was dismissed.

The charge, which stemmed from a verbal altercation at a SAAFE House Crawfest fundraiser in 2012, was dismissed after several witnesses testified before County Court-at-Law Judge Barbara Hale. Prehoda had been accused of preventing Precinct #4 Constable Gene Bartee from interviewing Lane Hurst who said Prehoda had threatened him.
