The Huntsville Charter Review Committee got together Tuesday afternoon to discuss several issues of possible revision to the City Charter.
One of the issues discussed was Section 14.09 which deals with conflict of interest. Suggested is a change to the section to also include government agency employees as a conflict of interest.
Still up for decision is Section 2.01 which has to do with who is qualified to sign a petition in regard to annexation.
The committee voted to reject Section 4.12 covering employee grievances, which permits all employees of the City to appeal to the city council to resolve personnel matter grievances following a first appeal to the city manager.
The committee will meet again today at five before submitting final recommendations to the council on June 18th.
