“Coats & Cash” Drive for Homeless Vets Starts Sunday

Published on December 06, 2013 by Larry Crippen

Members of the Melvin White VFW Post #5871 will be hosting a drive beginning at noon on Sunday, December the 8th, to help out homeless vets.

It’s called Coats & Cash. Post Commander David Lanoue and post member Jeff Clark will spend 72 hours living in a dumpster on 11th Street. They’ll be collecting coats, blankets and cash to help out needy, homeless veterans. They’re trying to raise $100 an hour.

We talked with Commander Lanoue . . . .
