Tuesday morning at their regular session, Walker County Commissioners heard a presentation from Investment Consultant Randall Chenot regarding an insured cash shelter account with First Financial Equity Corporation.
Mr. Chenot works out of the Waco branch office of the Scottsdale headquartered firm with corporations, foundations, universities, credit unions and governmental entities like school districts . . . .
Chenot said he checked Tex Pool in which the county had money invested, and it showed that morning only “4-and-one-half basis points.” He said the account they offer would be an “attractive alternative and/or compliment to the money you have deposited in pools.”
Commissioners approved an application for a First Financial Equity Corporation Insured Cash Shelter Account. More detailed information will be available to the public.
