Commissioners Approve Purchase of Software for Emergency Management

At this week’s regular session of Walker County Commissioners, Emergency Management Coordinator Butch Davis made a slide presentation about special software from the Aristatek Company which can calculate plumes on a map on Hazardous material spills accidents and other emergency situations.

His department is interested in buying two copies of the software program for him, and County Judge Administrative Assistant Sherri Pegoda, for $5,990 dollars from contingency funds . . . .
