Commissioners’ Court Meets

Walker County Commissioners meet at the courthouse for a regular session at nine this morning.

Walker County District Attorney David Weeks will discuss approval of moving funds currently budgeted for an Investigator I position to fund an Assistant District Attorney I position and moving the funds currently budgeted for Assistant District Attorney II to the Senior Prosecutor Position.

County Auditor Patricia Allen will discuss approval of payment to Sedalco, Incorporated for $244,855 dollars for payment on Application 1 as approved by Burns Architecture and the County Jail Project Manager, a payment to Burns Architecture for $3,000 dollars, and a payment to U-S Bank of $393,578 dollars for interest payment due on the Jail debt.

Purchasing Agent Mike Williford will discuss for approval the issuing of a Request for Information for an inmate phone system for the new jail.

Planning and Development Director Andy Isbell will talk about the Courthouse Plaza Project.

And, Administrative Assistant Sherri Pegoda will discuss the naming of a County Judge Pro Tem.
