Walker County Commissioners will meet at the courthouse for a regular session at nine this morning.
Commissioners will hear a monthly update on the construction of the new County Jail.
On this morning’s “Statutory Agenda,” EMS Director John Nabors will discuss accepting the Department of State Health Services Local Projects Grant for $30,000. Walker County Emergency Management Coordinator Butch Davis will talk about approval for the Gulf Coast State Planning Region Mutual Aid Agreement.
County auditor Patricia Allen will discuss for approval payment of $978,108 from budgeted funds to Sedalco, the construction company for the new County Jail, and approval of payment to Burns Architecture, the architect for the new jail, for $17,500 from budgeted funds.
Commissioners will hear a presentation from First Financial Equity Corporation on an Insured Cash Shelter Account. Appoval of an application for First Financial Equity Corporation for an insured Cash Shelter Account will be discussed.
Commissioners will also talk about approval of a resolution regarding votes for the appraisal district board of directors, look at approving a revision in the contract between the County and volunteer fire departments, and consider approval of an H-GAC Housing & Economic Development Case Study.
