Commissioners’ Court Meets Today

Walker County Commissioners Court will hold a regular session at the courthouse at nine this morning.

Commissioners will hear a Walker County Jail construction update.

Walker County Sheriff’s Office Operations Bureau Captain Tim Whitecotton will discuss approval of an interlocal agreement between the County and City for the 2013 Justice Assistance Grant program.

Maintenance Director Ken Nabors give an update on the 2nd phase of the AC upgrade at the courthouse.

County Auditor Patricia Allen will discuss approval of payment to jail architect Burns Architecture for $16,000 from budgeted fund, and payment to jail construction company SEDALCO for $2,041,900 dollars.

Walker County Emergency Management Coordinator Butch Davis will discuss a master service agreement with Garner Environmental to lease equipment during disasters.

Planning & Development Director Andy Isbell will talk about a resolution for Citizen Complaint Resolution regarding the Texas General Land Office Community Block Grant program. He will also discuss excessive force policy.

Walker County Judge Danny Pierce will discuss a request to move polling place Precinct #4 and consider a Fireworks Ban.

Precinct #4 Commissioner Tim Paulsel will talk about approval for security camera systems for Road & Bridge Precinct #4 and Justice of the Peace Precinct #4 and a security fence for Road & Bridge Precinct #4.

And, Administrative Assistant Sherri Pegoda will discuss possible revisions to the Walker County Landowner Driveway regulations.
