Walker County Commissioners will meet for a special session this morning at nine at the courthouse.
County Auditor Patricia Allen will discuss the possible approval of payment to the Riverside Volunteer Fire Department for participation in the cost of a 2013 Ford F550 fire truck in an amount not to exceed $18,343 from budgeted Project Funds.
County Purchasing Agent Mike Williford will discuss for possible approval renewing the election services agreement with Elections Systems & Software for an additional three years, purchasing three copy machines for the County Clerk to be paid from budgeted funds and County Clerk discretionary funds for $18,783, the issuance of a Request for Proposal for the repair of the Annex Building based on an engineer’s report, and a remodeling to add doors at Constable Central–second floor of the Annex building–for $3,000 dollars from budgeted funds.
Walker County Emergency Coordinator Butch Davis will discuss for approval the Gulf Coast State planning Region Mutual Aid Agreement and Point of Contact.
Commissioners will discuss the possible approval of a request for use of County facilities by the Walker County Soil & Water Conservation District #453, the process for maintenance procedures on assets assigned to one department but also used by another department, and the renting of the Senior Center building for events in order to raise funds for the Senior Center.
