Walker County Commissioners meet at nine this morning at the courthouse.
They will receive the Community Supervision and Corrections Department budget for Fiscal Years 2014 and 2015 and the Treasurer Monthly Investment Report for June 2013.
During the “Statutory Agenda” presentation–
EMS Director John Nabors will discuss the possible approval of upcoming educational classes for EMS personnel to be paid from budgeted funds.
Sheriff Clint McRae will seek approval of payment of his county credit card for the feeding of deputies during the recent murder investigation on July 25th for $118.84.
Sheriff’s Operation Bureau Captain Tim Whitecotton will discuss the possible approval of payment of his county credit card for feeding deputies during the recent murder investigation on July 27th for $113.64.
Emergency Management Coordinator Butch Davis will seek reimbursement of his personal credit card for feeding Community Emergency Response Team volunteers during the recent murder investigation on July 26th in the amount of $70.55. Mr. Davis will also talk about the possible implementation of the “Burn Ban.”
Also in Commissioners’ Court, Judge Danny Pierce will talk about the possible approval of renting the Senior Center building for events in order to raise funds for the Senior Center. Commissioners will also discuss the budget and tax rate for the fiscal year October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014, take a record vote on the tax rate, and set the public hearing dates.
